Thread: Yves Saint Laurent Nylon Muse

Way to go YSL as they present one of their iconic handbags in a more comfortable and maintenance free version. It’s the Muse bag, that’s right it’s back; this time around it arrives lined in Nylon! Designers such as Prada and Fendi never fail to release those not-too-expensive and worry free nylon bags sporting their logo. Some styles might not be so attractive, but they really put up in the test of time. So the infamous Muse in “rich” black nylon features the same details over the original leather Muse bags we all know and love, correct trimmings and details are all found in the same exact spot, its just a matter of whether you’d stick to the leather version or the new nylon. Nylon sounds great if you want a designer handbag that you wouldn’t mind taking out with the kiddos or if you’re like my teenage sister with her bags… careless. But then on the other hand, you simply can’t compare the appearance of a nylon piece to a classic rich leather version. Just when I’m about to state that I would go with either one, the price tag of the Nylon Muse reads $1,195. I think I’d rather stretch my dollar and invest $200 more for a Suede Muse or $400 more for a classic YSL leather Muse. What do you ladies think?

I think it's nice that this bag is available in other materials, but nylon? Just not for me, I prefer delicious leather.

I'm not into this bag in nylon at all.. I prefer the leather myself.

RIDICULOUS price! I agree, why not just spend a little more at that point for the leather?!

I think if you already have a Muse, or 2, then this might be a good addition to your collection... if you can swallow the price of it! Nylon is good for everyday, and you don't have to worry about it, so I can see why they would make it in this version.

Ouch. The price bites! I think $400 would be reasonable for this nylon easy. ITA with everyone else, I would rather spend a little more for yummy YSL Leather Muse.
