Yves Saint Laurent "Edition New Vintage": recycled capsule collection!
Yves Saint Laurent just announced the launch of their second "Edition New Vintage" collection – an environmentally conscious capsule collection designed to reclaim and sustain what already exists. The collection works with recycled fabrics from the YSL archives and marries them with iconic Yves Saint Laurent silhouettes.
The first New Vintage collection debuted June 2009, at Barneys New York…over 75% of the collection sold in the first 1.5 hours on the floor and the entire collection sold out in a matter of days.
Following this huge success, the second "Edition New Vintage" will now be rolled out worldwide at five YSL flagships: Paris, London, Milan, New York and Hong Kong. The collection will deliver in early December 2009.
As with the last collection, each piece will be numbered…in addition, the year and destination city will be included on the garment label.
