Valentino Blossom Satchel

With it's floral detailing of scrunched, twisted and pleated leather that portrays the shape of a flower, the Blossom Satchel by Valentino is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for upcoming warm weather. It's available in both pink and black, which are both lovely. Though since Spring and Summer are just around the block, I'd personally opt for the pink version. Lately, I've been scoping it out online over at Neiman's and Saks, and I seem to love it more each time. And besides it's main blossom depiction, the next best thing about this piece are the shiny gold snakeskin handles. I think they add an amazing touch to the satchel, especially with metallics being 'hot'. Though that brings me to another thought I had about this purse.
The only reason why I'm hesitant on buying the Blossom Satchel is where it exactly falls on the trend meter. I'm unsure if this would become more of a classic or if it's on it's way down a hill carrying the weight from the term "It" on it's back. Honestly though, I don't see anything about it that makes it too trendy or "over in a minute". The textured leather with a floral influence is both feminine and elegant, while metallic elements (the handles) are becoming more accepted as classic. For me, with a steep price tag of $1,895, it's definitely one to make sure of.
So, what are your thoughts on Valentino's Blossom Satchel and what it will eventually become?

Honestly ladies, what do you think of this? I'm considering it over others I have in mind and must be sure before I spend that much on it...

Re: Valentino Blossom Satchel
haha. No way. How could you not like this bag. I think its gorgeous!
Last month I was going to get this bag.. lately I have been craving Valentino's designs. .. but resisted because I was worried it would have been an impulse buy. ...... ... couple weeks later I'm still in love and would love to add this piece to my collection.
Also, in reply to it not being as classic as a signature LV or forever instyle like a classic Chanel - I do agree. But that's like alot of other designer bags. Also, I mean you can only see so many LV signatures before you start to get sick of seeing logos, right? I would rather have a purse that not everyone has..

Re: Valentino Blossom Satchel
^^^i really do love this bag but the price is out of my range for something trendy. i'd rather put it towards my Chanel classic flap that i'm dying to have. do you think this will eventually go on sale? and do you plan on getting this one Jen?!?!!!

p.s. - have you seen this one? i bet it's even more gorgeous in person!!!

Re: Valentino Blossom Satchel
haha, you know I hope it goes on sale before I make it over to get this bag, lol. It really is so much more gorgeous in person - well the pink is. The black version isn't as eye-catching. Also the gold python handles are really complementary to the soft pink color (
) oh and that rose design. OMG, I am in love with this bag. The floral designs reminds me of the retro Yves Saint Laurent nadja bags. I'm such a sucker for rose detailing
