Thats the same thing I do. My mom told me, if you have the money in the bank then why not just use it instead of paying all those CC fees. Everyone does things differently.

I guess I will be slowing down for a while as I am very happy with my collection right now and Mr. Zombs is not working any overtime.

Actually - while I do NOT agree with the banks getting $$ for doing a terrible job. We also need to say "wait a minute, why would we give the $$ over to the irresponsible adults who purchased cars, homes, etc... without having the cash for it?" I mean I know if I can't afford something, I don't buy it. Why can't someone else do the same? Why does my money need to go to them (or the banks) for something I never supported or was involved in?

This whole mess is from pure greed - banks want more money, people want bigger/better stuff that they can't afford. You have on one side a bank that should have been responsible and not out for just money and the other side you have grown adults who need to be more educated in these types of situations - if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

I wish the real answer to this was to let the people responsible for this clean up this mess - but that's not how it is in this world. We all need to baby each other. At this point, if we let the banks just fall on their own, it's a trickle down effect and we will ALL be very hurt by this.

I think sometimes the public is smarter than politicians, because what you said makes sense, and if a politician explained it this way to us, then people would understand. You know?

I think banks should be stricter on who they loan money to. If they think someone is a risk then they shouldn't give them the loan. However, I don't want families to suffer by having to pay more for renting than getting a mortgage. It's such a sticky situation.

Sometimes I think the policing on this site gets a little much.

We were talking about the economy.

Well, when you talk about touchy things like that...something is bound to happen that isn't good.

Plus, you are bringing politics into it - which isn't allowed. We are just doing what we have to do. Sorry if it's too much for you to follow a rule.

Yeah, we weren't targeting anyone here. We just felt that the conversation was headed in the wrong direction, that's all.

Hmm... i don't think i'm shopping less but actually spend a lot more on bags and clothes recently... I finished my master back in June and that gave me a big break on my money. So i don't have to save up $1000 a month which basically a bit too much for me to bear. My bf family visited us that time and i took them to a nice restaurant which cost me $500 for a dinner. While they were here, they shop like CRAZY. They bought bags and clothes by DOZEN, yes, dozen, like Coach, polo, tommy, banana republic...etc..

Looking at their shopping war, they taught me something i never realize, if i can spend $500 on a dinner just to make others happy, why don't i just pampered myself with something i always wanted??????? So, after done with emergency fund saving, i started to buy bags and clothes... which make me feel better...

I'm accountant of the company, which i know best if the company or the industry is doing good or not, so, if i feel that, i will definitely slow down on spending... just in case...

I just feel like sometimes we aren't allowed to talk about anything on here. I can read just fine thank you, and I'm not a child so I don't need to spoken to like one.

I would never want to argue with anyone on here, or hurt anyone's feelings, so I would never say anything to, and don't feel like I have.

    Sorry bRs, I understand :)

My question though is where are we allowed to have a conversation on here that is more in depth than just purses and accessories? I know that this forum isn't exactly for that, and I'm not looking for the answer I know I'm going to get, "Have it in a PM," or "Have it in private"

Sorry Jen, I don't mean to cause trouble!

    Exclamation

This is an arguement-free forum. Topics like politics stir up too many opinions and someones feelings are going to get hurt in the end. We welcome you to take your debates to PM's or feel free to use the TBF Chat rooms.

This is a "bag forum" and we try to keep it a happy and fun place for everyone!
