Yes, it's like a tupperware party with fake bags. There's like a "seller" person and they put the party on and they just come to your house if you want to host it and set up and then you have your friends over to buy the fake bags. Then like however many you sell you get free ones or something. I live in Charlotte, NC and no one around here really knows much about real bags so people are always trying to invite my mom and I to them, and we refuse! lol

Im pretty sure that they are, but unfortunately I don't think that it is really enforced here. Fake bags are EXTREMELY popular here in charlotte, it's so sad. I get so angry because these people walk around like they are the shit and you can clearly tell their bag is fake. I'm sorry but it makes you look retarded ! ugh

I know there are "jean parties" too - my hair dresser swears they are real and just "fall off the back of the truck" but I have seen enough street vendors with faux jeans on sale outside my former college to know that's not the case. haha. my mom's friends always through purse parties and before I told my mom that they were all fake, she had no clue. i think a lot of it plays off people's innocence. they look at it like a tupperware party or sex toy party...and those aren't knock-offs (hahaha...a knock-off of Ron Jeremy's you-know-what would be funny)

I went to a womens expo thing today, and like every other vendor was either a fake purse/jewerly/jeans set-up. And then they would give you their flyers so that you could host one of these.

BOO purse parties! They are illegal because it is illegal to sell counterfit goods, but I guess they aren't a priority, especially here in RI. I hear about a TON of parties going on and sometimes people even advertise on Craig's List. It is awful. I def think something needs to be done about this!

And again I hate purse parties, I dont understand why people go to them, because I was reading in Vouge, that now they are breaking down on the people who actually buy these bags at the purse parties. I find that funny I had to go to Buffalo New York the queen captial of these parties fake nock offs... I guess the FBI is working with the desinger to crack down on the problem

But heres a sharp way to know if someone has a knock off or went to a purse party..


1.)Vachetta leather by the time someone buys the bag, espically a Louis Vuitton, Dooney and Coach if the leather has not darken within a month or even a year the bag is fake, and also if it is crackling and ripping.. Plastic will not last forever.

2.) The desing, most louie knock offs are of Monogram and now even other lines. But if they are living in a city who carries these desingers, then they're should be no explanation on why they are carrying a fake knock off.. But if no stores are found then.. theirs a problem lol.
