I vote for the Kate Clutch. Looks really classy with the gold stamp on the front.

okay. We (hubby and I) talked about this last night. He really has been looking forward to getting it for me, because he knows it would excite me and I'd be happy for months. He just doesn't like promising because anything can happen. I could lose my job, and his income is always variable.

I know the zippy purse is adorable and would fit inside Marilyn. But the kate is only $150 or so more... And it looks quite a bit better. But, we will see.

I think I am leaning towards Kate and putting faith in hubby to make my Christmas a good one

ND did you decide to get a Speedy instead? I read your other thread, and I'm thinking fr practicality, a Speedy 30 would be great! They hold so much!! Plus, you can wear it all the time and get your monies worth, so DH won't be mad!

He won't be MAD...but ... it's like...I want him to be as excited as I am...and he's not really one to spend a lot of money on...well...anything.

In his mind, I guess I should just stick with the Monty for Xmas...and not go "overboard" and buy another Louis Vuitton now. That would make three in a year, and if you add all their prices up together, that is $2,780 before tax, $3,033.68 after you add 9.125% sales tax for TN. Add that to the $1,200 I have spent on Coach and it's still...

a lot of money.

If I did this for ten years...I would have almost $40,000 in bags...that's almost a rent house. (no offense to those of you who have that much in bags - to each his own, and if you can afford it - good for you)

Like I said. I'm not too excited anymore, although I do want something.

Aw well try and not let his lack of excitement ruin it for you. I know my bf doesn't get that excited about me buying new bags, he doesn't even get that excited when he buys them for me.

Maybe you can still get Kate, or a small LV accessory plus a Coach bag

You could get a Porte-Monnaie Plat for $370 (if you're still thinking MC), and still get a coach, and come out at about $600

**UPDATE**

My gift of choice was going to be the Damier Azur Speedy 25...but I was about to order it because I can get 5% cash back using my debit card, and I THOUGHT!!! eLuxury.com wouldn't charge sales tax (which in TN is 9.125%...) but they DO charge the sales tax. URGH!! I had it in my checkout basket and everything and then I just ... decided against it.

Then...I got to thinking. I want a house, and to buy a house we need to pay down some of our debt first. Soo...I am funneling all money in to pay down debt (all income producing, secured debt - I do not beleive in Credit Cards) and then save up for a downpayment on a house. I am hoping by the time we have the funds to buy prices will drop another 2-5%. We will see though.

So my splurge will end up being a California King sized bed because we have been sleeping on a Queen and it's hard because my hubby and I are not tiny people. He's tall and I am chunky.

I will probably get a Damier Azur Hampstead next year sometime. I will stick to the Montorgueil PM for Christmas...

Two LV's in one year (Marilyn and Montorgueil) is no small feat. I am a little sad though...
