Default Ex-Boyfriend Jewelry

This is an amazing website - Ex-Boyfriend Jewelry

So basically I think most of us still have "ex-boyfriend jewelry". I know I have a Tiffany's ring and a pink amethyst necklace from my ex. He was good at buying me things but just a terrible person overall. So this website offers a few things:
1) the chance to tell your story...venting
2) the chance to sell your unwanted jewelry
3) the chance to buy someone else's unwanted jewelry for cheap!

I saw a BEAUTIFUL 2.52 carat diamond ring on there that was $9,000 but appraised for $17,000!!! I have been gushing over some of the rings and my boyfriend thinks it's crazy to have a ring that big. Ah...girls don't let your values be lowered by a man...I won't let up with this one.

^^legally, this dude could take the girl selling the ring to court and she would have to return the ring.. If u r engaged and break up...the ring is really legally the mans. If u get married and divorced... The ring is yours

The ring above is a pricey ring and I would be afraid to buy b c of the possibility of getting drug into a legal battle

As women why do we get so bitchy about our exes? We do our fair share of bad things to men and u dont hear them bitchin and moanin and bashing us every time we turn around...

Well, he could but he wouldn't win. Legally once a piece of jewelry is given to another person, it is considered a gift and no longer their property. The only way said man could get the ring back would be to marry her and go after it in the divorce settlement.
Which leads one to really know the person you spend that kind of money on. And even more so if you are going to give them a family heirloom that means something to the family. I had a friend give his ex finacee a family ring and he was not able to get it back. And he took her to court and everything. It was really sad and what a total waste of a human being she turned out to be.

Perhaps the rules are different in different states. Where I live, an engagement ring is a conditional gift that only becomes the property of the recipient after they have fulfilled their end of the contract (e.g. go through with the wedding). If the couple breaks up before the wedding takes place, the ring must be returned to the person who bought it (e.g. usually the man).

I'm willing to snatch up some of her goods, but i'm afraid of getting ripped off (switched bags, fakes, etc.)

this is what I was referring to... For a cheap ring, I doubt the fight would escalate to court, however... When you drop over 10k on something its worth a fight for.

In undergrad we had to write an exam essay on this particular law is why it stuck in my head

Ya there are some fakes on there but at the same time this isn't a site to really make MONEY, more of a site to just get rid of things that have bad memories associated with it. I can't say any of the bags are real - and since it's not eBay it is risky. I am trying to sell off 2 necklaces and honestly, I don't care if they go for what I asked for...they just need to go.

I think if the LV bag is real - then that's why the seller will take the best offer only... I am sure she knows better than to take $300 for it. That's just my thought - I mean go for the offer but if she accepts it immediately, then I would worry because she knows the value and personally, even if it was a gift from my ex, I would still want at least $700 for it.
