I came across this while surfing at work: The style co-op: How pooling your money with friends can keep you on top of the latest trends | the Daily Mail
I don't know about you guys but this is something that I'm not into. When I buy clothes or accessories I buy them for me, myself and I (unless if they were a gift). How and when I use my designer things is for me to decide. I don't know...I just couldn't see myself doing it. I'd rather pay full price myself and be able to fully own the item. Sharing clothes is one thing (though I still wouldn't invest in co-owning something) but the thought of sharing bags is weird. Yeah, it's great they save money and all but it's just not for me... ![]() |

Interesting article. I always lend and borrow bags with friends/family but have never co-owned. I think that might be strange. Although, my sister and I sometimes split the cost of a dress we both love but that's something we've done our whole lives. Does that count? (Even though she ends up keeping them in the end, so really, I'm just paying for half her wardrobe.)
With friends, the dynamic is different. Sharing is caring but co-owning seems would lead to a custody battle down the road. |

I think that sharing clothes is cool. And if there is one really expensive item like a dress for example, then i could see splitting the cost. But i can't see it beyond that...for me anyways. I mean sharing is one thing but co-owning would definitly lead to 'custody battles' as you mentioned laluella. So I'm with you there...
I wouldn't really let people borrow my bags though. Like my mother wanted to borrow my speedy and I said no...does that make me a bad??? I felt bad saying no though... |

I think it is more weird to share clothes than sharing bags,, I will let my mother use my bag than my clothes/dress,, Well, it's just me,, got no sister here so i got nobody to split the cost for something i like personally.
