Default What do YOU want for Valentine's Day?

Well last year was my first V-day with the boyfriend. That was also the same day we have a record snow storm. I had an amazing dinner planned out and it all had to be moved to another day. I was upset and also alone because we were all trapped inside our homes (snow halfway up my front door). Boyfriend also didn't get me anything for V-day which was a little upsetting but he's not really into it... okay fair enough.

Considering this year the birthday present he got me was returned (money BACK on his card)...he still owes me. He claims to have a "surprise" in-store for me and since I'm impatient I've come up with possible ideas:

    - a Mike & Chris leather jacket
    - a trip to NYC to see friends and family
    - a new pair of jeans
    - a diamond (i've been begging...BEGGING)

That's about it - he's a very practical guy so I'm thinking it's none of the above but a girl can dream...

maybe this year I'll at least get chocolate?

For him I've only purchased this (sold out now though..):
Paul Pape Designs Mii Chocolates Info

Since we've received the Wii for Christmas - it's become our daily ritual and I thought it was SO CUTE. I also got one for my mom and little brother who are addicted to the Wii as well.

i wanted a certain ring and i know i definately got that. I bought him a bracelet and a burberry watch that he wanted and we always spend around equal money. I really wanted a new purse as well or at least a pair of sunglasses or piece of LV jewelry, I was hell bent on a pair of sunglasses and after days of tracking down someone that had them i found out i got additional jewelry, lord only knows what he picked out, i hope i'll like it or i'll casually nag him about it, haha.

you're so lucky!!! i spent like WAY too much money on my bf and maybe you could call it a grudge i'm holding or whatever but seriously for his birthday & christmas (they are less than a month apart) I got him:

    - a Rome snowboard
    - 2 tee-shirts from Threadless
    - Flight of the Conchords DVD
    - Silf & Oly DVD
    - JCrew scarf
    - Shaving cream heater
    - PUMA sneakers
    - 3 hot sauces
    - iPod Shuffle (engraved with a romantic quote from his favorite band)

Okay?!?! That's a lot. What did I get? Well since our birthdays are 4 days away - this is what i got for christmas and my birthday:

    - iPod Shuffle (he was the one asking for one - I never wanted one because I have a Nano... I returned it and the money went back on his card)
    - iKea Bedside Table (this was something I was going to purchase myself until he bitched about not wanting one so this wasn't really anything great - plus it wasn't even a surprise b/c I had to drive to iKea to get it)
    - iKea Kitchen Cart (which is kinda flimsy)

THAT'S IT!!!! Seriously... I am a giving person and don't really want much back but his gifts weren't really even THOUGHTFUL!!! I never once requested the Shuffle (which later I got ANOTHER one from my boss which I kept bc at least it was engraved) and the iKea stuff was nice but I definitely didn't have my heart set on it at all.

NOT TO MENTION - I planned a trip the weekend before Xmas to see friends/family. it was suppose to be romantic until we ended up fighting the whole time and he didn't even offer to pay for the hotel - i paid the full $400 for it!! UGH!! And he wouldn't even go look at the tree with me because he hates crowds.

I love the guy but he's too practical for me - hasn't yet done anything super romantic. We went a REALLY nice resturant only twice and it's because I begged him!

I miss NYC guys - they know how to spoil.

I don't really want anything (that bad) for valentines... Every year I leave my BF clues ... such as, saving pictures of what I want on his desktop.... (cheesy, I know)... but this year, I don't really want something bad... so i'll be satisfied with whatever he gives me. He has great taste in gifts... and if he totally doesn't know what to give me... I always get cash or giftcards! Hey... i'm not complaining....

Last year, he got me Swarovski... a bracelet and matching earrings... Sooo pretty!!!

The only thing I really want is the damier papillon. My bday's on Feb 25th and I talked about that bag all last month so I'm sure he got the hint! I don't really care if it's the 26 or 30, I just really want it. I put eluxury and vuitton.com on his favs list ahaha! Last year he gave me the T&Co. heart lock necklace for vday and for my bday he got me the matching earrings .

    You're so cute!

This year will be my second V-day with my BF, though we were broken up for a little while last year. But I told him not to go all crazy. He wanted to take me out to dinner to a really nice, expensive place but I told him that if he made me dinner (of course what I WANT, lol) that would have more meaning. So this is what we have planned: He's going to let me sleep over the night before then make me breakfast and mimosa and bring it to me in bed. Later on he is going to cook something (he's the BEST cook!!!) for dinner and we're going to have a nice bottle of wine to go with it. And I'm sure he will get me flowers or something. Ha, I told him NO CHOCOLATE, lol! I think it'll be really sweet and cute though...

    awww awesome

well boyfriend actually told me last night to not stay at work late v-day because he's taking me to my favorite expensive restaurant. he also mentioned DIAMONDS... i told him that i didn't want anything tacky like a Zales heart and that honestly - i talk about diamonds all the time but i don't want him to ever buy them for me just to shut me up - i want it to be unique and truly from his heart. he said he knew and already had saved the money up and was doing it because he wanted to.

    AWWW he made everything better...

Lol I don't really tell my boyfriend what I want, neither do I leave hints. I mean, it's okay even if I don't get anything because he always gives me stuff randomly.

He's made plans on either a dinner or a lunch date, which we always do during special occasions...he did tell me that he has a "surprise" for me though but won't give me a clue about it!

Well, I know what I REALLY want for Valentine's day... but like I've said before, you'd see pigs flying over a frozen hell long before my husband would buy me a handbag. Hmm... so I'm hoping for at least a nice dinner out and a card. He said he doesn't want to get me flowers anymore because every year they seem to screw up his order. I do like roses... but they die so quickly. Other flowers can be kept so much longer.

boysrsmelly - our men seem similar. my bf would NEVER buy me a handbag. Same goes for shoes - he bought me Tara Subkoff shoes last year for my birthday. Once we moved in - he realized what a terrible mistake that was considering our entire closet is full of shoes and there's no room for his stuff (even though we also bought a dresser and a wardrobe).
