WOW Maevey!!! You are a lucky girl!!! Those are all so awesome!!
I fell into the claws of the JCrew extra 20% sale items gig...I bought these shorts for only $31...but since I refused to pay $8.50 to ship them I ended up buying the sandals for $88 (full price) so I could get the free shipping. Oh well, I've had them bookmarked for some time now so it was only a matter of time. What I noticed about JCrew sales is that they never have either my size or the color I wanted...it's always one or the other that they are out of.
Plus I figure it this way - I have started a 5 person car-pool to work as of last week. After figured out how much I spend a day on gas to get to and from work - it's about $10 a day. That's not counting weekends. So let's say I spent $50 a day on gas (average $200 a month) - that means I spend about $2,400-2,600 a year on gas!!! That's insane. And I only increased my salary $2,500 when I initially took this job - my last job was 5 minute drive, this one is a 45 minute drive. So the drive was literally just eating up any increase in pay I did manage to get.
Love the shorts.
Be wary of the shoes. I bought them last week and they rub on the back.

I purchased a clear zebra print tote from Dooney and Bourke for my mom for mother's day. And booked a hotel on Travelocity.com for my husband and I this year for our vacation.
Ooooohhh, vacation. Where are you off to?

Yesterday I made a berry pie (basically took all my frozen berries from last summer's picking and made a random pie). Then we went to the bookstore and I got three books:
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach
I, Fatty by Jerry Stahl
Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar
They are three VERY different books. I love fiction books, but ones that have a gritty reality to them. Which is why I love Jerry Stahl. I also heard Stiff was funny and interesting, and I love learning random things. And then Werewolf Girl just caught my eye because I do at times enjoy the sci-fi/fantasy books but also I ADORE Neil Gaiman and it was his recommendation that caught my attention. I started it last night and got up to page 87. I got sucked in so I brought it to work to read at lunch.

**sigh** I want to buy something but I am on a spending ban. implemented by my conservative husband who thinks that the economy is going to get soooo bad that it will be hard to survive **yawn**
I'm really craving a new LV piece...guess I will just have to wait for Christmas!
Nothing like retail therapy to get you through a week of "Is the test positive..."
So my friend and I went shopping today at Neiman's Last Call, Forever 21, Off Saks and Anthropologie.
I spent way too much money but am feeling good about my purchases.
Manolo Blahniks (2 pairs - brown and brown animal print)
Stuart Weitzman turq and black heels
Grey Sweetpease dress
Black Juicy dress
3 belts
3 clutch purses patent leather
Anthropologie shirts (4), long creme sweater
I didn't picture the Forever 21 stuff because there was too much but there is the navy and white polka bag that is in the one pic. Love this bag.
