    Default Sites to sell on?

I wasn't too sure which area to put this in. Does anyone know of any sites to sell purses on that won't rip you off?

I won't/can't do ebay. Won't do Ioffer. I tried bonanza but I can't use paypal so can't use that. Craigslist sucks. Any suggestions? lol.

Have you considered consignment? If you have high-end handbags to sell, then I have heard they aren't too bad. They tend to charge a higher percentage than ebay or whatever, but they can usually sell stuff at a higher price as well. I suppose it would depend on what it was though.

I was thinking consignment shop, but I suppose it would depend on what there is where you live. There is one where I live that charges 15 to 20% (depends on the types of items). Let's see, I see Fashionphile.com advertise a 20% consignment fee every now and then (normally it is 30%). They sell mostly Chanel, LV, etc.

If the stuff you are trying to sell is 20 years or older (or handmade) you can sell on Etsy.com. I believe it's $.40/item posted for I think 3 or 4 months worth of listing. They take a 3.0% or 3.5% fee. You get 5 free pics per item. I have some vintage handbags and other goodies I am trying to organize (which will be a miracle) so that I can get them put on there.

You could try Craigslist. The only thing I don't like about Craigslist is having to get face to face with a stranger. But I'm odd like that :/

Lastly, you could open your own website. I thought about Godaddy.com but Etsy.com just makes more sense to me.

    Good luck.

I've done the etsy thing before trying to sell bracelets. I didn't sell anything. And craigslist is a joke. People always claim they want something and then back out. I've had one girl tell me for a week she wanted wallets from me then back out then a couple weeks later respond to another post I had but it had two purses also in it and I'm like.. ahh.. you've already wrote me before and backed out. lol. So, yeah I guess I'll just keep trying on bonanza now that I figured out how to get on there. So far no luck.

Try shopkarmaonline.com. It's high end consignment. They take bags and other designer goods and you don't have to pay to ship them in. They handle the authentication, take the photos, write the descriptions etc. I think they're a My Poupette Recommended Seller too.

There are lots of consignment shops on line...Malleries, Yoogies Closet, Anns Fabulous Finds just to name a few. They all want about 30% fee, but when I do ebay using paypal it comes to about 20% and there is the risk which scares me too much anymore. Most local high end consignment shops charge at least 40%.
