^^^ I wonder when they get their trucks in? You have to be there right after they put new stuff out in order to get the best stuff.

Yes, lots of people do! That way you can have first pick! LOL! The trucks used to always come on Thursdays at my local TJ Maxx. But then they changed it and I'm not sure which day it is now. Being that I'm busy now, I can't just wander in there on weekday mornings anymore.

As a rule, I believe most retail stores get shipments on Tuesdays and or Thursdays. Then again, I've never worked retail, this is just something I've heard over the years. I know I've asked several associates at my local TJ's and only one has told me their trucks come on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The other SA's were vague and said "all the time" or "every few weeks." I tend to believe the first SA. I usually go on Tuesday and Thursday morning around 11:00, and it's like freakin' Christmas time in July, every housewife for a 10 mile radius is in that store. But sometimes it's worth it, so it pays to go early.

OK so I went to TJM today and they were totally remodeling the store. Nice!

They must have got a shipment in today because they were putting out all kinds of new shoes and tons of bath and body stuff.
They had Havianas for $9.99 a Linea Pell bag for $249.99 some Tahari heels for $39.99-$49.99 Coach sunglasses for $49.99-$59.99 tons of Ed Hardy stuff and lots of BCBG clothes.

I love these stores. I can always find something fabulous at them for amazing prices. My favorite find was a pair of Vera Wang pumps on clearance for $19.99.

I asked last time I was in...ours gets a truck on Tuesday's and Thursdays.
(Though, I'm sure...every store is different)

The lady behind the counter said that everything isn't usually out until the next day...they have to sort it...and that they never know what's coming in, they just get what their corporate office thinks will sell in your area.

(I've found that I can find better stuff on Wednesday during lunch...and Thursday after work...because everyone goes on Fridays and Saturdays)

Edit: If you go on a day that everyone has picked through the merchandise already...it can look pretty stark. I know there are people that go everyday.

tjs is always hit or miss with me.
we have a rack too. Both are getting better about carrying more designer items

what about ross?
we have those here. I kinda think those are straight up trashy....

When I went on Tuesday they had just put out all their clearance items. Sadly, I felt like crap and really wasn't in the mood to shop. However, they did have the JC Scottie Dog tote in Nardles, but it was $159 and I can find it cheaper elsewhere.

I despise Ross, I've never found anything good there. Most of it I could get at Gordman's or Khols- without having to wade through a bazillion screaming children.

TJMaxx has standards...Ross is just stuff made wrong, sized wrong & everything that a manufacturer messed up on. Why would anyone want that? ewww...
