Question where do we find the perfect jeans...

So... I have been looking for a good jeans for a long time.. and haven't gotten much luck
but.. my problem is that I live in a city where there are not many good stores... all they have is macys/express fashion/nyc sorta stores...

so, now I have decided to buy some online... but again i get confused cuz they have sizes like 26/27/28 and so on... and i don't know the exact size I should buy...

so my question is.. which size should i get if i usually buy size 2.. i thought 27.. but not sure..
will appreciate any other suggestions too about buying jeans... places...

    thanks gals..

That's a toughie. The problem with jeans is that every brand seems to run different. For one brand, a 26 could fit like a 1/2. And in another brand it could fit like a 0. When I buy jeans I have to try on hundreds of pairs just to find one that fits, literally. My biggest issue it the waist. For some reason, these stupid jean companies think that if you're butt is big then your waist must be big too. Usually, by the time I get into a size big enough for my butt, the waist is way to big. It's so frustrating...

different brand has different sizing, that's the problem!!!
my advise would be, if you can live with the hassle of return, you can try out the brand by guessing until you find the right one. So you will know your size for that particular brand..

Like i never able to buy anything from Levi's, their sizing is just not right for me, i have to go to junior sizing but the cutting is just too funny on me~ so, my choice would be miss sixty, guess, karen millen and so on. Guess jeans, i wear 24, but karen millen i have to wear size 4, miss sixty i have to wear 26.. it's really........... a lot of works i would say :D

    good luck!!

you guys are right... last couple of days and weeks there were so many cool jeans sales on ruelala & hautelook.. and i was tempted to buy stuff.. but didn't cuz of size confusions.. and then some are final so return is not even an option there...
i am at a total loss though.. my town sucks..

Maybe you could take a day trip somewhere? You could find some larger stores to try jeans on at. Once you know what size fits you in what brand, you can shop online after that with a little more confidence.

I would suggest hitting somewhere like Nordstrom or Bloomingdale's to try on a variety of designer jeans. That way you can decide what brands fit you best and what size you'll need in your faves. I tend to try on a ton of jeans, take pictures of the tag with the size/style/etc. with my cell, and then search for them on Rue La La, Gilt, etc. Once you know your size, you'll be able to hunt for deals online. Good luck!

Oh, and a 2 could be either a 26 or a 27, but definitely try them on! Some brands run big or smaller than usual.

I shop in the impulse section of macy's.. there really no exactly one perfect jean nfor everyone.,. you just really have to try a lot then you will know.. when you know which brand fir you best then stick to it.. it like shopping for that one perfect handbag.. once you find that one perfect bag, you just gotta stick to it but in different color..
