Default How's the recession shopping? :)

Hi all, it's been awhile, I've been busy with work and other stuff. So how is the recession shopping going, lol. Taking advantage of all the sales?

Bluefly has been having sales every time I turn around, and I've ordered a lot from them, but have been disappointed in the quality of a lot of it. I return as much as I keep.

Other than that, I've been too busy to take advantage of anything. Maybe hanging around this materialistic place will get my shopping juices going, lol

You did do great, congrats! Yeah, this economy is great for sales, isn't it? What ever are we going to do when it gets better and we can't get these sale prices? :)

I've been doing alot more online sample sale shopping. It's crazy when they get current season items and mark them up to 60%+ off ( hautelook + gilt ).

I love all the sales going on indeed -- I just wish the circumstances were better for this country and the global economy !!!

Over the summer Besame sold everything for 6$ for 10$ and I stocked up on like $300 worth of makeup that only cost me $50. I have been doing my nails myself and they look just as good if not better than the salon manicures!

I picked up a few things online from Ruehl last week. I think I did pretty good, 2 t-shirts and a 3/4 sleeve shirt for $60. Considering Ruehl never has online sales, meaning this is the first I've seen.

Question How has the economy changed your shopping habits?

I hate to be a "Debbie Downer" here, but I'm curious how the current economy (US or elsewhere) has affected your shopping and spending habits?

Myself, I find that I'm not so quick to make a purchase or I am looking elsewhere for the item. I went shopping this weekend, but ended up purchasing only items that were on sale. (50-75% off at BCBG :gi67:)

So to the rest of you, do you find yourself changing your shopping ways?!
