I was hoping you could give me your input on my next handbag purchase. I'm looking for a nice large hangbag, preferably a satchel; I like slouchy styles best (with a few exceptions) and I prefer something edgy, not so much classic. I don't like logo prints, it's got to be leather, possibly black, dark purple or chocolate brown. Oh yeah, and I like big bags (14''+ long)
Right now I'm debating on which one of these I should get:
- Foley+Corinna city tote
- Botkier Morgan
- Marc by Marc Jacobs Strippy Zippy Groovee Satchel
- Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr. Q - Groovee satchel (purple would be lovely)
and while I don't normally like bags that don't close completely with a zipper, I saw the Dr. Q Riz Hobo at Nordstrom and kind of liked it, it was buttery soft and slouchy and it seemed comfortable to wear.
Can you recommend one of these over the others? Or maybe another lovely large slouchy bag I might like?
I have a Foley + Corinna gunmetal City Tote and I it!! It is kind of tall and sometimes hard to get your wallet out, but it will hold a TON! I now use it for my laptop bag and it is perfect!

Another option is the Rebecca Minkoff Nikki. It is a large slouchy bag that looks pretty comfy to carry. The Morning After bags are very roomy also.

I like the Foley & Corinna bags, both the City tote and the Jet Setter. I almost bought one or the other several times, but this what makes me hesitate:
- The City Tote is large and slouchy like I like my bags, but it's a bit plain. I'm afraid I would get bored
- The Jet Setter is lovely, but it's more structured than I normally like my bags. I feel that slouchy bags are more "me". However, it is lovely and Ialmost got one the other day at Luna Boston, until I read how they described it: the perfect work bag. That kind of brought up my feeling that it might not be "me".
But as I said, I like them both so every now and them I am tempted again
I'd get one just because, but I can't get designer bags often so I kind of want to pick a perfect one for me. Does that makes sense?
Since you like slouchy bags, I'd check it out! I have one in cobalt...its comfy, roomy, and just plain gorgeous!! I would check out eBay first to get a deal though.
If you are looking for a slouchy shoulder bag, I think the RM Nikki and the MBMJ Faridah are your best bets. The MBMJ is nice because it has pockets inside and out but overall, both are gorgeous.
I'm actually thinking about it, although I tend to prefer satchels, especially if they also come with a longer strap – shoulders bags slide off my shoulder when I'm holding my daughter.
But I'm confused: are there two versions of the Dr. Q Groovee satchel? Or is it that some are mistakenly labeling the Strippy Zippy Grovee as Dr. Q Groovee?

I think there are around 4...they are all different seasons.
Ok. I guess that makes sense. So the one without the longer straps around, that's on sale at most places is last season's model? I like the one with the straps so much better.
