I like Black Friday in smaller areas, but in the major cities it's hell. Last year I worked on Black Friday (I work in a corporate setting) because I would rather take another day off when the whole world isn't at the mall.

It took me 45 minutes to go 5 miles from the interstate to the office building because of the mall traffic. Luckily, our building has a controlled access garage because people were parking in our parking lots and walking. It was nuts

I don't really think you're missing out on all that much. It seems like when something is a REALLY good deal, there are so few of them that you wouldn't have a chance at getting one anyway. Not when people camp outside the store and then plow over little old ladies to get to where the stuff is first. It seems to me that you can find just as good of deals on stuff throughout the Christmas shopping season. You just have to watch the ads.

^^ Yeah I hate when they put deals in the adds for ex: laptops for $300 and there is only like 10 so the night before the store opens there is like loads of people camping out. I can just imagine all the people running through the store to the electronics department to try and find the laptops. I think its hilarious but no offense to those who camp out. Lol.

^ I have to be at work at 8 and I get off 6. I want to shop early but I can't go shopping with only a couple of hours of sleep, then work for 10 hrs. It would be so tiring being awake the whole morning and then go to work for the rest of the day. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go shopping on Black Friday.
