OMG.. go for the one for less.. and I actually really like those.. and I'm think I'm gonna have to go buy them!!
I was in Instyle Magazine's office last year in NY.. and they were asking me questions about my favorite brands and stuff and I kept saying all these designers.
My stylist for the day was Sidni... and she actually works for Instyle as a stylist. She puts all the outfits together that will be featured in the magazine.
They gave me a check.. and she goes what will you buy? I said a LV bag of course!
I QUOTE HER ON THIS:
She goes... "Marissa fashion isn't about wearing designer brands all the time, it's about putting stuff together that looks cute and makes people think your outfit cost A LOT. Yes, we can buy name brand purses and shoes sometimes, but true fashion is about wearing any brand, any outfit.. if you can mix match.. and make the outfit look amazing... then you've got true fashion sense."
Ever since that day.. I REFUSE to pay a lot for my clothes. I use to buy all juicy couture clothes.. now Forever 21 is my favorite store. Some of you might cringe but seriously.. as long as you can make the outfit look amazing.. does it really matter what the tag that is facing your back says? Target, and Forever 21 are my favorite clothing stores now! Clearance racks are also a favorite of mine.. I bought 4 pairs of skinny jeans at Macys like 2 months ago for 30 bucks! Love it... The brand? Who knows.. as long as they look good I love them!
I agree as well. Of course, I've never been into buying expensive clothes anyway. Something would always happen to them or I'd get too fat for them or something. LOL! And this sounds bad, but I hate the idea of having to take a ton of stuff to the dry cleaners. Lot's of designer clothes are dry clean only. So yeah, if its cute and looks good on me, then I really don't care if its cheap. BTW, Marissa, I love clearance racks too. What about TJ Maxx? Oh I love shopping there!
And Jess... to answer your question about the shoes, I would have to say go for the cheap ones. They are really trendy and I don't think I could justify spending that much on a pair of shoes that might not be in style for very long.
Oops, I didn't even answer the question!
I say go with the look for less...
That is not a timeless shoe but more of a trend so I wouldn't want to spend $700-$800 for a season or two.

I admit.. I'm a designer junkie when it comes to purses.. my purses bust be designer. But my clothes NO. Literally fact is.. all clothes are made in factories.. they are not hand sewn. Most of those factory workers are only making $5 a day.. if that! I mean... I do have shoes that did cost $200 in my closet. I'm an MK junkie and his shoes are like $150.. that's still a lot to me. I also have shoes from TARGET! After Sidni gave me that speech.. you really don't have to spend TONS to look amazing. So if I see something cute.. name brand or not.. I'll buy it. I'm not going to say no to something just because it's not a designer brand. I do love Christian Louboutin.. but I won't buy his shoes just because they same his name. If I pay $600+ for a pair of shoes.. you better believe I'm gonna love them forever!
This is why NY is amazing! Yes you have your 5th ave girls in NY.. but literally all then women their are fashionistas.. AND SO MANY shop at the boutiques around town that are no name stores that just sell cute acessories and clothes. A big store in NY that is VERY popular and always full of Fashionistas is Conway. Conway is ALWAYS packed. But literally all around midtown and soho you have SOOO many boutiqes with the cutest things that aren't name brand. I think true Fashion is about being able to pull an outfit off you put together.. not something that cost a rent payment.
Now purses.. those can be a rent payment! LOL...
But I think if most people went to NY.. and saw how the women are there.. it's gives you a different look. Yes it's the Fashion Empire of the world.. but most women there DO NOT wear designer everything from head to toe. I talked to the whole staff at Instyle for 12 hours straight.. they make a KILLING.. and they don't even buy designer everything all the time. Yes they have their splurges but believe it or not.. their favorite store is H&M!
I also went into the top secret fashion closet.. some stuff was designer and some wasn't.. but that doesn't matter.. I thought I had died and went to heaven! The closet is AMAZING!
Only thing I disagreed with.. they are down with knock-off purses! That's a no no to me!
those are pretty hot/sexy shoes. the cheaper ones totally look like a knock off, but i would get them over the others that are too expensive (for me anyways). it's not like the other brand is trying to pull them off as Diors, so I think it's fine. definitely a way to have a hot designer look for less!!!
Really? I kinda think they look like the same exact thing. I think the leathe looks sexier in the bakers shoes.. than the diors. The diors have a flat leather texture kinda looks matte. Whereas the other one look a little shiny.
FYI... Steve Madden is selling the SAME ONES too!

Black Leather $109
Black Patent Leather $109 (I might have to get those.. I have a weekness for patent leather shoes!!!)
Great Advice Marissa, I def. have less expensive clothes in my closet as well...
Although, I have this theory that if something looks too designer inspired, I tend to stay away from it. It's like a bag, I can walk into Charlotte Russe and find a "Balenciaga" inspired bag... although no "tag" claims its a Balenciaga, I would stay away from it. IDK... that's just how I feel.
Those shoes are hot! ...and I really like the Steve Maddens a lot more for the fact that they're not too identical to Diors version. Oh, and the Patent leather ones are my fave!!!
