I need help! What do you guys put on your suede shoes to protect from scuffing or as a conditioner??

I'd always just scotch guard them and use one of those suede care brushes to "fluff" the nap. Some of the brushes also come with an "eraser" on them that works for getting water spots and stuff like that off.
