When I came across the
Donald J Pliner "Carly" Platform Sandal I was instantly in love, but I felt as if I had seen these shoes before. To me attention, they kind of reminded me of the Dior Extreme Gladiator Platform sandals Carrie Bradshaw wore in the "Sex and the City" movie.
I've always loved the Dior Extreme Gladiator Platform sandals, but I must admit I liked Donald J Pliner's version better. The platform was more stylish, and that the studs were missing throughout the shoe was a plus. Dior's version will always be a classic, but Donald J Pliner's is 2009's version of the same exact shoe.
No one can deny that these shoes are fabulous and are would be the perfect summer shoe. Anytime you decide to wear these beauties, they will look stunning!
The Donald J Pliner Carly Platform Sandal's can be purchased at Nordstrom for $385. The Dior Extreme Gladiator Platform sandals had a price well over $600, so $385 for a more stylish version of the shoe doesn't seem so bad.
