Default Worn Heel Tips - can somebody help?

    Hi everyone -

Im afraid this is starting to get serious. The tips on all my stilettos seem to be wearing out way too fast... my job is starting to complain about the "damage" I'm doing to the floors. I'm so afraid they're going to make me stop wearing spikey heels.... Then I would HAVE to look for another job... Is anyone else having this problem? Whats wrong with my heels (or maybe its me?) and what can I do about it?

Please... I'm getting kind of desperate... take a look at these 2

Andrea, take them in to get the bottoms replaced. I always go to Nord rack to get it done.. they have like a mini shoe repair place in there. It's like $10 or something.

Yep, a shoe repair person is needed for this one.

I've experience that too before...What I did is that I brought my shoes to shoe repair store and told them to put a small rubber on the tip of my shoes.

No need for desperation. Take them to any shoe place for new rubber bottoms.

Hey, I don't know if I'm too late to chime in, but if you want to save some money you could go to newheeltips.com and buy new rubber bottoms online. It's only $5 a pair, so it's way cheaper than taking them in to get fixed!

I know this is an old post, but we just launched a product that is an easy, fast solution to worn heel tips. It's called Quick Tips (by GoGo Heel). Quick Tips is a quick fix for worn heel tips. The way it works is that you apply a cap over the worn heel tip and a self-fusing band attaches the cap to your heel. Because you don't remove your old heel tip, no tools are required. It takes less than a minute to apply, so you can fix your heel tip anytime, anywhere.

You can use it as an emergency or temporary solution until you find time to take your shoes to a cobbler. That way you can keep wearing your shoes all the way up until you take it in for repair without click clacking, damaging floors, and further damaging your shoe heel. Quick Tips can also be used as a long term heel tip because the cap is made out of a strong, dense polyurethane material, so it will last a while.

Pictures and a video demo are posted on the gogoheel webiste. Definitely worth checking out if you have a problem with worn heel tips!

When I was younger, one of my friends took her high heeled boots to repair and got them back in a worse shape - the shoe repairer had just used a small nails to attach a new heel top to the heels, which needless to say made the situation even worse. Ever since then I've been paranoid about shoe repairers.. So i just buy new shoes.
