I was reading that there are tons of people who have been dissatisfied with their RM bags. Namely, they receive bags with mismatched panels, or their bags fall apart easily, and then RM customer service is despicable. Just a little worried, because my RM MAM is going to arrive this week and that is just sad to me.

I am not much help since I've only had my MAM for a few weeks and I've only worn it once. From what I read on here though, everyone who has a RM bag doesn't seem to have a problem with it. I sure hope not LOL because I don't want my MAM falling to pieces.

My first Deep Purple NH MAB had a missing screw on the side hook that made it keep opening. I exchanged it for a new one and the hook was fine. If you have the new hardware then make sure that the screws are always tight. But there was a problem with the 2nd bag as the gold studs on the front of the handles were way uneven, which drove me insane!! So I returned it again for a 3rd Deep Purple MAB and I love it!!:wub:

Here is a pic of the HW stud issue...
The stud on the left side is higher than the one on the right. It wouldn't have been a huge problem but the left stud was overlapping the stitching.

I love RM, but demand just exploded and quality, at this moment, doesn't measure up to other designer bags. Most of the complaints stem from unsealed and darkened handles, leather variations on different sides of the same bag, a few threads sticking out of the stiching here and there (mostly in corners and around the nameplate), rough zippers. Yet, when you fall in love with an RM, you fall hard. I hope the company will resolve these issues, whether they are design or quality control issues.

Overall I still find the price, quality, and "feel" of a RM hard to beat! I do think the company was hit pretty hard with demand and with that some things just slip through. I am proud to say that RM's are still made in USA (NYC) and I hope that they continue.

My MAB was in great condition when I got it!! I heard they scratch easily though. Nikki's are the bags with the miss matched panels - that would drive me nuts!!

I wasn't thrilled with the quality of the leather on my forest green one but just assumed that was the quality. The ones I have seen on Luna Boston look so soft and supple.

Each color of leather has a different texture to it. Like the Night MA's are so soft and smooshy then the Persimmion has almost a glazed look with a bit of structure. The Deep purple is really soft but it also has more structure than the Night. It just depends on the color really.

I do feel that RM's are great quality especially for the price!

I had an idea it was that way. The pale green and violet bags look so soft and smooshy. And my forest green is so defined. It's not horrible, just not pettable (as my husband would say) like my Bal and Linea bags.
