Default Rebecca Minkoff Large Moto Hobo Bag

    Rebecca Minkoff Moto Hobo Handbag.jpg

There is just something about moto styles that makes them simply irresistible. I think it began with me when I first saw the original Botkier Trigger Bag. No, Botkier did not invent the moto style. But for some reason, those diagonal zippers are the epitome of what a moto style should be. Well, at least in my mind anyway! I think that is why the Rebecca Minkoff Large Moto Hobo Bag really jumped out at me.

This large hobo has everything that you would expect from a hobo. The soft leather and slouchy shape allow this bag to hug your body. It is comfortable and casual, perfect for everyday use. Adding icing to the cake, this hobo also has those highly desirable moto characteristics. Particularly, those long diagonal zippers on the front! I love the oversized zipper pulls and extra long tassels. They give this hobo a little bit of edge, without looking too flashy. The "almond" color helps tone down the edginess too. But if you are looking for black, it comes in black too! And the price tag? I absolutely love the price tag! It seems like Rebecca Minkoff has lowered the regular prices of her handbags since I first fell in love with them all those years ago. Not a bad deal if you are looking for an inexpensive everyday bag to add to your wardrobe.

The Rebecca Minkoff Moto Hobo Bag is available here at SAKS FIFTH AVENUE // REBECCAMINKOFF.com // NORDSTROM where it retails for $325

Botkier is the only "Moto" handbag designer that I can think of. What other designers are you referring to? When it comes to contemporary handbags, as far back as I can remember, Monica Botkier was the first handbag designer with the diagonal zipper style, and called it the Moto. I personally think it's weird that other designs do the Moto style, but then also call it "Moto".. it's very Botkier.

Yes ZG, Balenciaga called the City bags motorcycle bags. Not all moto bags have diagonal zippers, I just think of those diagonal zippers when I think of the moto. That's why Botkier always pops into my mind because that was the first moto bag I saw with the zippers like that. So yes, this RM is very Botkier-looking to me.

I'm glad they didn't overdo it on the design. Looks nice.
