Thread: RM After Christmas Online Sale!

i have to admit, i was a bit torn on even posting this sale.
lately i have a love/hate relationship with RM -- love the bags, hate the CS!
i have finally gotten the issue with the last online sale worked out (i think), but i wasn't completely happy with the outcome, but that is another story....
anyway, i just want you all to be aware of what you are getting into before shopping this sale.

I won't be shopping this sale. Too many horror stories with RM's CS. I will buy my RM fom Von Maur and Sample Sales!

i said i was going to sit this one out, but i went to have a peak.... and i'll be damned - they have that grey color i have been lusting for! supposedly this is the true grey and no photoshopped pics used. CS really did a number on me with the last online sale, but i really want this color. crap, i am so torn.

Chickie what happened at the last sale? I always thought RM had good CS. I've never ordered directly from the website though, or had any problems with her bags.

I noticed the sale started already.. did you get the bag you were looking for? Which one was it?

well, when i ordered that bag, it was listed simply as 'grey' and the pic on the site showed the color to be a true grey just like a grey bag i had seen someone get from the NYC sale. however, as you can see in the above link, the bag i got was a distressed brown. when i received this bag i thought it was a mistake. i emailed CS immediately on 12/3 to see if there was a mix up, but no response. i kept trying to call, but no one ever answered and the mailbox was always full. so long story short, after numerous unanswered or "looking in to it" emails, they offered to accept a return for full refund. this was just this week! so this issue took from 12/3 to 12/23 to resolve.
anyway, point of the story is that i was offered no explaination or acknowledgement that the bags were not properly described -- just that this particular grey did 'tend to look brown'.
the funny thing is that i originally just wanted to satisfy my own curiosity about the color. i figured if it was correct, it would grow on me or i would sell. only when they made this difficult did i get pissy about receiving a bag that was clearly not as pictured with no explanatory description.

unfortunately this is not a unique situation. RM is gaining a reputation for awful customer service.
it seems that ignored emails and unanswered phone calls are not new issue. and to top it all off, RM has been known to use photoshopped pics on the site - so what you see may be nothing like what you get.

those two were bonz/bay listings. i was going to get one of those and bypass the sale altogether. unfortunately i went to take a peak and supposedly the stormy grey color pictured is accurate. that grey is in-between the two i had posted in the other thread and is the grey that i orginally wanted all along! i caved and bought it from the sale. it was about 100 cheaper on sale than either of the 2 i found. of course, if i get the wrong color again....
