So I have my Thompson Street on Bonanzle. Someone contacted me and asked if I would trade my LV Thompson Street for a new Lavender Nikki.

I would prefer to have the money, however I've had the bag up for over a 2 months and haven't gotten any bites on it.

They sent me one picture of the bag, so what other pictures do I need to get to make sure I'm getting the real thing, and also that it's in good condition etc.

Should I trade? Or wait it out?

My personal experience with Bonanzle is that it's not that popular and if you want to sell something on there, you might have to sell it at a bargain. I've had a couple bags up there for months with zero bites, and yet when if I were to put them up on eBay and pay the stupid fees, it seems like they go quicker and for more.

About trading your LV for the Nikki. If you really-really want to get rid of your LV then I guess I would. Although, I would never trade an LV bag for a Minkoff. LVs prices decrease, but rarely to over 50% of what you paid (kwim?). While RM bags always go for deal. You will probably see the lavender Nikki at the next online sample sales for only $250, or less.

Also, btw, on ebay the Thompson Street is going anywhere from $300-$750. So I would try your luck there before trading

Good advice Jen, I think I'll just say no to the trade and see if I can unload it through eBay

If you'd rather have the money, then I would try it on eBay again. Like ZG said, you could always trade for the Nikki and turn around and sell it.

Yeah it's Lavender. Weird I know but the RM Lavender has a lot of brown in it, more of a dusty mauve color.

It's a pretty color though, a great neutral.

That color seems so chocolate brown..

When I think of bag or anything that is "lavender" colored, I image like the purple plant shade:

But anyways, so yes, lil keep us updated with whatever you choose

The lavender(-brown) shade would be perfect for fall.

Edit to add: Hands down I would take the Nikki. RM Lavender is like a khaki with two drops of purple mixed in, lol. Its pretty and versatile and also, it looks really great with the silver HW.

I had no idea the lavender Nikki was that color. I imagine the same color when I picture anything lavender.. It is a great neutral colored bag though.

I know I kept thinking "lavender... that looks brown!"

I haven't told them anything yet, still thinking about it, so we'll see. Is the Nikki too big of a bag?
