Yea we're still here until Monday. I really miss Watson and Frisky
Not sure yet what were going to do today, maybe head over to Tulum to see the ruins.

You'll just have to plan another trip then!
I just got done talking with everyone and it looks like we're going tomorrow. Today is just going to be another relaxing day ocean side and maybe some shopping. We're staying right on 5 av (the main strip) so everything is really close - a huge plus! Although I am slightly disappointed in the lack of tropical birds. That's one of the reasons I love coming over to this side. Although I did get to hold a baby tiger!!! It was awesome but kinda scary at the same time - it was growling the whole time.

Finally home!
@boysRsmelly , I'm not sure. It was an interesting sound.. like an under the breath gargle growl. Not one that I wanted to hear from a tiger on my lap! lol. They also had a baby leopard and jaguar there. It is kinda sad to think about their situation. Hundred of tourists a day handling them The guy said that when they get too big they take them to a nature conservation in Playa.. but I'm sure they say that to every tourist. It was definitely a cool experience though. It kinda felt like holding a dog. It's fur was really course.

Haha! I'm sure you were fine. Baby lions and tigers do have coarse fur. It sort of feels wooly. The babies there were most likely from someone who was breeding exotic cats. Hard to say what their life will be like when they get older. It can be pretty sad. I always wondered what happened to the ones they would have at our local fair. I'm sure they were getting sold to private parties once they were finished having them at the photo booth.

Yeah, they have a whole exotic petting zoo at the fair. I remember them having zebra, fallow deer, zebus, kangaroos, etc. Then they had a photo booth where you could have your picture taken with a baby bear or tiger or lion.

You know what, that looks like a jaguar. Perhaps it came from a place that was breeding them? I know there are some "conservation" efforts going on.
