Jenn, i hope you are taking pictures of the table at every stage...i love seeing before and after transformations!!

I am not doing a Moroccan theme room....poofs will not survive for 1 hour with my 2 boys!!! My collection of pieces if more Asian-middle eastern and eclectic. I made a full seating set, a coffee table and a sofa table set a couple of years ago in an Asian theme. I wanted to add a splash of color to my family room with this table. Several coats of varnish for protection!!

Oh that sounds really interesting. Are you all finished with the update? Before / after pics??

I really wish that I took a before picture, the transformation is really amazing.. this table had stains from paint, nailpolish, coffee cups and lots of scratches. Whoever had it before obviously didn't care about it. The wood is teak and naturally a lovely color and I didn't want to cover that up, so I just put a couple coats of clear on.

Now I just have to touch up my other coffee table and sell it on craigslist so I can move this into the other room.

The table is gorgeous Jenn. It is wonderful to restore the natural wood grain. the pieces i make are painted furniture. the original wood is in such battered condition that there is no point in trying to restore it. so i sand it, primer it and paint it all over.

You have worked so hard on your cleanse, so i won't mind it if you send the Godiva chocolates over to me

Browsing TBF and catching up on some emails before I start some house cleaning.

Just got back from a specialist apt. for my son. Great treatment plan...but spans 1-1/2 years...will cost $500 per month and insurance won't cover a dime because it is holistic medicine
I am totally bummed...but there is no way i will not give the treatment a shot. Guess no more vacations or frivolous expenses for a while...

I am a bit depressed about that, but you are right...if the treatment helps in in any way...it will be well worth it. Nothing would make me happier. Lol! between this treatment and $4500 for his braces (after insurance!!) this is one heck of a year!

Yep! Free-form painting. I just started painting and let my mind dictate the design
I wanted it to look like tiles.
