I just spent the last 2 hours researching herbs for my urban balcony garden. Can't wait until late April when the planting begins..

^^^ Fun! I've never had much of a green thumb though. Are herbs pretty easy to grow?
I'm writing at the moment. It's hard though since my stomach is growling. I'm SO hungry. Stupid Mr BRS had better come home soon.

It's my first time! Little nervous, I've never grew herbs before so I hope I don't mess it up
I made this vertical planter box to utilize the little space that I have. I only have about 11' x 3' to work with. I also want to make a couple boxes for Spinach and Beets.
Thinking I'm going to do Basil in the top 2 boxes, Cilantro, Parsley and Sage

Jennifer - That's a neat idea. Are you going to get one of those hanging tomato planters? I had thought about trying to grow some stuff, but if anything grew it would probably end up going to the rabbits. Then again, they are rather picky. They might not eat any herbs.

I really wanted to do tomatoes, but I don't think I have enough space. They grow pretty tall.
lol, yea I think your rabbits would ravage your garden
then again you could always put a fence around it or something to keep them out!

Not the rabbits, but THE rabbits. I probably wouldn't want the herbs myself. At least not that many. My little brats are so picky though. I'd try feeding them the excess and they probably wouldn't want it.
Then again, I do like the rabbit that lives under the shed. I'd probably be tempted to let him eat them. LOL! I mean, I do feed the squirrels and stuff. Just picture me with a garden outside just for the rabbits to eat.

Jenn, did you build that planter box? It looks awesome. what a cool way to utilize a small space.
Brs, we are going to Phoenix, Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I am so looking forward to a break from chores and cooking!!!
the weather is supposed to be in the 90's in Phoenix, 70's in Sedona and GC, but a nigth the temp in GC goes down to 20-30's, so have to take some warm stuff along.
I generally pack clothes for the whole family...it takes me about 30 mins to get together clothes for both boys and DH, and about 2 hours for myself!!
