Don't mind me, I'm just glad I don't have customers yelling at me anymore. I hate these stupid sales! All they do is aggravate people and then they take it out on me. I don't think I'm gonna make it through the holiday season this year.

Hold in there, bRs!!! I'm with you in the retail boat, lol! Luckily I haven't had TOO many bad seeds, lol!!! I have had some really unreasonable customers. I HAAAAAAAAATE when a customer comes in and tries to "deal" with me. They ask for discounts and what not. It is a STORE - NOT a flea market!!!!!!!

I've never been in sales but it's common sense if something goes wrong with what you order it's not the sales reps fault there just there to help sorry your dealing with that don't you wish you could just tell then where to stick it Lol

Come to think of it, I had a rude "I.T. guy" the other day. :rolleyes: Sometimes I just want to get a MAJOR attitude with people - but I don't want to stoop to their level or get in trouble!!

Sometimes, it can be the SA's fault. I have ordered an item from another store, had the customer buy it, and the other store sold it out from under my customer!! WTF! But a lot of the time, we are just employees, we don't make the rules. So, if you're rude to us, you won't get anywhere, lol!

People will seriously take their frustrations out on you. Sales associates do not make the rules. We cannot give extra discounts on items that are excluded from extra discounts. The cash register literally will not let you take the discount off. But they will snarl at you about it. I don't like disappointing people, really I don't. I try to be nice about it, but some people just can't be pleased. Something will be on final clearance and ringing in for 80% off and people still think they should get it for cheaper. Isn't 80% off good enough? Jeeze!

True true! I had a lady so upset because her daughter had put a dress on hold so that she could come back and buy it for her (it was expensive and her daughter didn't have enough money). She told me that the sales associate promised she would hold it until close. The lady came and the dress had apparently been sold to someone else. The poor girl had spent the entire day at the mall trying on dresses and that was the one she decided on.

Just watching some TV. I have an interview at Bloomingdale's at 3:00. It's a temp job, just for the holidays, and doing some back room work like bring merchandise to the floor, etc. Nothing glamorous by any means, but I'll take what I can get!

^^^ I cried when I first saw how much plastic and stuff is used to package merchandise for shipment to stores. It's so wasteful! Will you just be bringing the stuff out to the floor or will you be doing the unpacking as well? It is fun to see all the new stuff though, kinda like opening presents!

Honestly the job description wasn't very detailed. I found the job on monster, and the blurb they had was just copied from their website. I guess I'll find out more when I get there.

Well I hope you get it anyway! Something is better than nothing! And, believe me, I would much rather be putting out stock than having to deal with psycho customers (especially the insane christmas shopper kind )
