Thread: Prada Lead Metallic Basket Woven Shoulder Bag

Lately, I’ve been seeing quite a few basket woven handbags by various designers. Personally, I’m not crazy over the concept, as I prefer smooth surfaces on my handbags, instead. Like every other texture, you have your good and bad pieces… and this woven leather bag, is just a bad example of the art of weaving. Did any of you Bagista’s actually know who the designer to this piece was prior to reading the title? Yeah, I consider myself a bag –fanatic and even I didn’t figure this out. Surprisingly, this medieval looking leather shoulder bag is by Prada! I was pretty shocked as well as I didn’t expect that either. I apologize to any fans of this piece out there, but this bag should be listed in Prada’s Bags-of-Shame list. Although the exterior lining is described as supple leather, it looks so masculine, stiff, and incomplete. I love neutral color handbags, and grey leaves no exceptions, but the color Lead found on this Prada, is too true, sort of like duct tape! This is definitely uniquely crafted and all, but I think I’ve seen better duct-tape accessories, literally. Right now you can find this piece for $2,040, already marked down 20% off!

This is just to weird for me. I agree about the identity confusion, lol. It just doesn't look prada to me (..there's not even a mini logo). And it does look like a woven tuck tape creation, eek.

It looks like one of those bags they make out of seat belts!!

Ick this is not Prada's best that's for sure.
