Kipling Spring 2008 Bag Collections
From the perfect little clutch to stylish work bags, the Kipling brandís spring 2008 collection has the perfect style for todayís on-the-go woman.
Beginning in February, spring 2008 styles will be available in Kipling stores in Miami, Fla.; Garden City, N.Y.; Rockaway, N.J.; San Francisco, C.A.; and Los Angeles, C.A.; in addition to Macyís and Dillardís department stores and other fine retailers throughout the country.
This spring, the Club collection brightens things up with glistening black patent, crisp white and shimmering silver metallic hued leather bags. Sleek silhouettes and smooth finishes give the Club collection an air of sophistication, while the dangling Kipling monkey adds a playful spin. New silhouettes include Eden, a medium sized hobo with a buckle detail and the Mabel (available in White and Silver leather only), a tote with both double handles and a braided shoulder strap. Suggested retail prices for the spring 2008 Club collection range from $44 to $278.
Vibrant, brazen and bold, the Hip collection is accented with striking laminated finishes, silver zippers and eye-catching detail, perfect for unleashing the diva within.
Colors such as Sonic White, Silver, Black and Galactic Blue give a sassy spin to the ultra-chic handbags. New this season are Derya, a single strap tote with a double pocket front and the sleek, round-top Laure L. Suggested retail prices for the spring 2008 Hip collection range from $38 to $148.
This spring, the Kipling brand pairs functionality with femininity with the City collection. New romantic hues such as Dusty Rose and Ivory Cream lend a flirty feel to nylon bags equipped with canvas and leather straps and multiple pockets. The Kipling signature monkey gets an updated look with chic metal and leather accents. New styles include April, a medium-sized, double handle bag and Samm, a shoulder strap tote with a pocket at the front. Suggested retail prices for the spring 2008 City collection range from $68 to $138.
G*rilla Girlz Collection:
Perfect for young, spontaneous women, the G*rilla Girlz collection returns this season with funky new colors and prints. A mosaic of Banana Green, Orange and Magenta color blocks create the Jungle Fruit print, while the Crazy Monkeys Pink pattern features cute Pink circles and monkey designs on a solid White background. Contrasting ribbon-like trim, oversized zipper detailing and an updated Kipling monkey keychain add an element of fun to each bag. New silhouettes include the Twirl, a two-strap tote; Jive, a small pouch cross-body shoulder bag; and Harajuku, a versatile multi-pocket purse ideal for a day out in the town. Also available in solid Green Banana, Black and Artic Grey hues. Suggested retail prices for the spring 2008 G*rilla Girlz collection range from $38 to $78.
The If collection is full of fun prints and coordinating solids. Key prints this season include Watermelon, Swirls, Butterflies, Grey Flowers, Zig Zag, Big Flowers and Multi Square. The Watermelon print offers fan-like images in earth tones accented with an Agua Marine hue, while the Butterflies print features playful images of the flying creature. The Grey Flowers print lends delicate, sophisticated images and Swirls features a subtly skewed garden-inspired print with metallic finish.
Bold Red flowers against a black background give a tropical feel perfect for spring in Big Flowers and the Zig Zag print brightens up handbags in Magenta, Pink, Yellow and White. Large graphic squares create the mod Multi Squares print. Fashion colors for the spring 2008 If collection include Lemonade, a pale yellow shade ideal for the spring; the soft and subtle Pink Crush; Agua Marine, an ocean-like blue; khaki-like Sandstone; and classic White.
