Zac Posen Madison Bag
I never really paid much attention to Zac Posen handbags in the past. They never called to me saying "Look at what a delicious bag I am! Buy me! Take me home!" Nope, not once have I been drawn to a Zac Posen handbag.
So what makes this Madison Bag different? Well, nothing really. But I was browsing around over at Shop Bop today and noticed that they have a section labeled "Designer Boutique". I guess I never really noticed it before. But then again, I'm typically just there to look at Marc By Marc Jacobs and Rebecca Minkoff handbags.
So anyway, I decided to check out the "Designer Boutique" section there at Shop Bop. And what do you know? They have Zac Posen handbags there. This particular one, called the Madison Bag, caught my eye for one reason only. Yep, this bag kind of reminds me of a Chanel Classic Flap! LOL! However, I'm not really sure whether that is a good thing or a bad thing. I mean, why would Zac Posen want to come out with a bag that is so similar (shape and style wise) to such a huge fashion icon? Okay, so it doesn't look exactly like a Chanel bag... but it is similar in size and shape. Plus it has a flap and a double chain strap.
Interestingly though, the Madison Bag does have some of its own unique features. For example, the bag opens up like an accordion-style portfolio. It also has a lock closure complete with its own little key. Those features are pretty cool. But I'm not really digging the embossed pattern. Why couldn't they have just done a plain exterior? It would have looked so much more sophisticated!
