Colorful Clutches: Jil Sander v. Mundi
One of the hottest looks for the spring is colorful cluthes. They have been seen all over the runways. These perfect little bags fit right in the palm of your hand and bring that little zest of color to your outfit. These little bags are just big enough to fit your credit card and lipstick…but what more do you need right?
I found colorful clutches offered by two different designers for two VERY different prices. The first picture features bold neon clutches in exotic leather by Jil Sander. These Jil Sander clutches retail at about $750 and come in a variety of bright colors. The second picture features colorful clutches by Mundi. They consist of faux leather, also come in a variety of colors, and can be found at mundiwestport.com. They look pretty similar don’t they? Do you feel as eager to spend $750 on a small clutch as you would on a large tote?
I personally think that the $30 clutches are adorable, and for $30 a piece…why not buy them in every color! While there is a noticeable difference in skin quality, are you really going to carry your tiny clutch around enough to care that much? These little bags are great for certain outfits but certainly aren’t your everyday bag. I would rather splurge and spend $750 on a large bag that I will carry around all the time and save and pay $30 for the tiny clutch. They certainly are adorable anyway!
