    Default Welden Escapade Saddle Bag

    Welden Escapade Saddle Bag.jpg

Wow, it seems like a new designer pops up practically every day! But you know what? I really enjoy seeing new designers, especially when they offer something fresh and new to the never ending parade of handbags. And, as you probably already guessed, I am really liking the fresh, new look of the Welden Escapade Saddle Bag! Check it out for yourself. I think you will fall in love too!

Welden really is a new designer. If fact, they are VERY new! The company was founded last year by boutique factory owners Cissy and Gary Chui and handbag development expert Sandy Friesen. Their signature feature is, of course, the great geometric weave you see on this bag. In fact, it is one of the first things I noticed when I came across this piece. The extra wide weave creates the illusion of 3-dimensional cubes. The look reminds me of modern art where cubes tied into cubes (tied into even more cubes!) start playing tricks on your eyes. I love the leather too! The raw texture really adds to the 3-dimensional effect. And, hey, the fact that this piece is a saddle bag style doesn't hurt either. They are so hot right now!

I'm not really that crazy for the saddle bag trend anymore. Maybe for the ultra-casual days.

I still like saddle bags. I'm glad there's a bit more variety out there now.
