Default Marni Trunk Leather Shoulder Bag

    Marni Trunk Bag.jpg

When I first laid eyes on the Marni Trunk Leather Shoulder Bag, I found myself instantly intrigued. It was featured in the style inspiration slideshow on mytheresa.com where styling director Rose Langenbein was quoted saying "The Trunk bag also looks great off-duty...". In my mind, this implies that this bag would also work for "on-duty". And from the picture, it would appear that this would make an excellent work bag. So with that, I decided this bag was worth a closer look.

The bag features 6 (2 zippered and 4 open) compartments inside. The measurements of this bag leave much to be desired. It is only 10 inches wide and 7 inches tall (but 6 inches deep). Well poo, this bag is deceptively small and likely too small to function as a work bag.

Not everyone carries papers and a ton of stuff with them to work, some days I need folders/laptop/ipad with me and some days I don't, so I can see this would be a great work option for some. It has clean lines and it's very classic. When I think of a work bag where you need to carry your laptop or folders, I think more of a structured top handle tote style- ie. Chanel Cerf, Alexander McQueen Heroine, Phillip Lim Pashli, Prada Saffiano, etc etc..

As for all the accordion dividers? Some people are OCD and need everything neatly organized

Yes, some people like to be super organized. This would be good for that. You could probably get an ipad mini in there, but sheets of paper would not be able to go in there unfolded.

I love the look of a flap but they are just not practical for me. The organization in this bag seems great, I LOVE to be organized!
