Thread: Charlotte Olympia Matryoshka Clutch

This might sound a little strange, but I have always loved Matryoshka dolls. I think my fascination began when I saw one inside the house of a childhood friend. Her mother was Russian, so she had a lot of nicknacks from her own childhood sitting around the house. I remember the doll well. Her hair was black and her dress had red and white flowers. The hand painted details were exquisite. I so badly wanted to open her up to see the other dolls nested inside. As adorable as Matryoshka dolls can be (I've seen them with practically every theme imaginable), it has never crossed my mind that one could form the foundation of a clutch. This is such a special clutch. I think it looks really unique and is absolutely cute with that miniature Matryoshka doll clasp. But not for that price tag

Yeah, the price is pretty steep. Definitely not out of character for this designer. It seems like you could find something like this in a Slavic gift store. There is one here that we like to go to. I always like looking at the dolls. They have every theme imaginable.
