Default Olympia Le-Tan Classic Novel Clutches

    Olympia Le-Tan Classic Novel Clutches

The quality of these clutches is just phenomenal! I cannot get over the detail! The exterior of each clutch is painstakingly hand embroidered. Rather than a whimsical reinvention, this designer bases the clutches on actual book covers for these classic novels. Just take a look at the two pictured here: The Catcher in the Rye and The Great Gatsby. Gorgeous! It's as if they were actual books sitting in an old library and you just plucked them off the shelf. I absolutely love the look and design of these clutches. Rather than an accordion-style frame, these guys open up like cigar boxes. They are a little larger, about the size of a hard cover. I love the playful Liberty-print lining and gold tone hinged clasp. It is the attention to detail that sets these beauties apart. They truly are something to be treasured. They cost a bit more than Kate Spade's versions, but I think they are definitely worth the investment!

These are really great books, just don't know how I feel about the clutch version. I do love the models dress and shoes through

These were a hit! Sold out really fast. Wonder if they'll get more in stock. Also who is Olympia Le-Tan? Is it a new brand to net-a-porter?

They sold out already? That was quick.
You know, I've never seen them there before so it might be something recently added.

These are so much better than the Kate Spade ones. I'm wanting to think Kate Spade sort of copied these. Do you know when Kate Spade introduced hers? Olympia Le-Tan started back in 2009.

I think that Kate Spade's Book of the Month clutches are inspired-by Olympia Le-Tan's Book clutches- it's the same idea, but they look completely different. Personally I think Olympia Le-Tan's is way more spectacular. Kate Spades were made of laminated silk and Olympia Le-Tan's are embroidered - which I think looks 100x's prettier.

Here are some of Kate Spade's Book of the Month purses:

These are most definitely prettier! You can't beat hand embroidered.

I am not too crazy about the silly milk carton bag.

Yea, the boxy milk carton one really isn't my style. The Novels are a much cooler idea.

Is the Olympia Le-Tan website not really working for you guys too? I'm in the "Online Shop" section right now but I can't click on anything.
