I've always have had an obsession with anything from long ago. I think the fashion from past era's is more inspiring and much more stylish that today's. Today's fashion is lovely but I feel fashion from the past had more of a theme and was more put together. I particularly love the 20's, nothing beats the flapper girl look to me but other era's also caught my eye.
When I saw the House of Harlow 1960 "Rey" Bag I was intrigued. It wasn't really my style of bag but it had a gorgeous antique look to it. If I had saw this in the store I would of never of guessed that it was a new piece rather than a vintage piece. House of Harlow did a really good job by bringing an old look to the "Rey" bag but also by fooling us to thinking it's an authentic vintage piece. Bravo!
The "Rey" Bag is definitely an evening bag. I would never carry it during the day but I think it would look lovely with a gorgeous black evening dress. I do wish the strap was detachable, as I think it would look better carried but overall it's a striking evening bag that brings us back to early fashion times.
