Beirn Metallic Meg Tote
Beirn Metallic Meg Tote

Beirn (pronounced "burn") is known for bringing us brightly colored, exotic handbags at an affordable price point. Created by Rita Overzat and her two daughters, the brand first became famous when their Jenna Hobo was spotted on the arm of Sarah Jessica Parker (AKA Carrie Bradshaw) in the Sex and the City movie. Recently, however, it appears as though Beirn has been going for a slightly different look -- Metallics! Introducing the Beirn Metallic Meg Tote. And since metallics are not just for the fall/winter months anymore, this genuine watersnake tote would make an excellent investment all-around. The gentle pleating really softens the silhouette of this oversized tote, making this the perfect accessory for day or night. In my opinion, the Beirn Metallic Meg Tote would look great paired with an all-black outfit, whether it be a tailored suit or a tunic/leggings combo. My favorite part about this tote, however, is the easy-access closure. When you have a bag as big as this one, it is nice when you can actually see inside it when you're searching for something. Plus the multi-function pockets located near the top of the bag provide a convenient place to keep your cell phone and keys.

Find the Beirn Metallic Meg Tote in either Pewter, Gold, or White at Bloomingdales! My recommendation? The Pewter... definitely!
Shop for it: Beirn Boutique @ Bloomingdales!

Re: Beirn Metallic Meg Tote
I totally agree this bag would look great with an all-black outfit, but it's just the wrong season for me to buy a metallic bag - it's a holiday season look for me.
This bag vs the Jenna - my pick, the Jenna. The Meg just looks like a puffier version, and I like the simpler look of the Jenna.

I also love the Jenna. It's very similar to the bag I got at Saks last year. I think the Meg is a fun bag and can be used with the right outfit!

Which bag? By Beirn or another designer?

It's by "All You Need Comes With Me" - I think they were Saks exclusives because I can't find the bags anywhere

Re: Beirn Metallic Meg Tote
Oh that's right! I was imagining a bag like the beirn with a snakeskin (is it print)..
I've never heard of that brand before. Does it work as a great everyday-er?

Re: Beirn Metallic Meg Tote
It is snakeskin - I guess it's hard to tell from the pictures. It was about $100 more than the Jenna, but I liked it because of the studs!
It fits a ton in it, and it's so lightweight.
