Thread: Longchamp Eiffel Tower Pliage Tote

I’m always looking forward to see what French brand Longchamp brings to the table, especially within their popular colorful nylon totes. A couple of years back; I misunderstood what the entire fuss about these bags was about as they simply appeared to be a straightforward, nylon tote bag to me. But they’re common for a reason and most owners would agree that its compact design, durability and the easily affordable price tags keeps the Longchamp brand so popular.


The large foldable totes in a single bright color are the most popular among students at my university, come to think of it; I haven’t eyed one with a trendy design on it. That may be why I admire the Eiffel Tower Pliage tote from the rest. A printed graphic design of France’s infamous landmark, the Eiffel Tower, is found tilted sideways on the front of this tote. It makes for a simple reminder of the proud heritage of the Longchamp brand.


You might wonder what the inscription at the bottom right read, and that’ll be the Longchamp manufacturers address in Segré, France; we’ll just leave the judging of that feature to you. You can find this tote in black with the white imprint or in paper with the graphite printed tower.

I love this. These bags are so perfect for travel. Lightweight and fold up and take up like no space in your suitcase.

I've always wanted a Longchamp tote, but never found one I was really in love with - until now! This is so adorable, I love the Eiffel Tower!! I am definitely ordering one of these!

This isn't a dooney???

I could have sworn that there was a Dooney an while ago of identical shape and trim detail (without the tower on it). I was able to get a pic of this bag, but it is not the same one

FU, Longchamp has been making this style for years (I believe the Le Pliage line dates back to 1993). I'm sure that Dooney & Bourke just copied the idea from them. I do see what you're saying though. The style is incredibly similar. Btw, where did you find that image? What's the material and price range?

I'm probably going to get the black since I wear a lot of black + white. Plus it won't get as dirty as the lighter version, even though I love that one too! Maybe both.. lol

it is from Dooney's website...it is called the Editor's tote, is constructed of nylon with leather trim and retails for $175.00.

I LOVE this tote!! Like Cassandra, I've always admired the Lonchamp totes but never found one that was "me". This one is perfect - LOVE it!!

I didn't see the fuss was about this brand either, but I admit the Eiffel tower totes are super cute for some reason. I LOVE the white tote!! SUPER CUTE. If these are affordable, then I want one too. It'd be great for college during those rainy days.
