Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel
Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel

Not much is said about Kenneth Cole Handbags over at TBF. I suppose I can understand why. Afterall, whenever I think of Kenneth Cole, I think of either shoes or jewelry. In fact, handbags are the furthest thing from my mind. But you know what? After inspecting a few handbags from Kenneth Cole, I have discovered they really aren't all that bad. And the fact that they are relatively inexpensive could be a plus factor for someone on a budget. Take, for example, the Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel. It has both a classic shape and some nice-looking pleats. In addition, the interior of this bag is pretty cool. It has a framed compartment in the center with an open compartment on either side. The only thing that I don't like about this bag is its handles. They have a broken appearance as opposed to a smooth, clean one. Personally, I think they are distracting. Perhaps solid wood or resin handles would have been a better choice. Or, at the very least, continuous pieces of leather without all that hardware. What does everyone else think?

The Kenneth Cole New York Freeze Frame Pleated Satchel is available in three different colors: Poppy, Orange, or Black. It measures 15.5" x 10" x 7.5" and it retails for a reasonable $398. Find it at Nordstrom

I agree about the handles part. This bag had potential, but then the handles had to go and ruin it...

Agreed, the bag is simple, and interest can't be made with just adding the "broken" with hardware on the handles. You are right, a simple banding in leather would of given it the most "classic" look
