    Default Starbucks Trenta: Stomach Filler

Starbucks' Trenta is as big as your stomach - Brand X

Starbucks' Trenta is as big as your stomach

    2:00 PM PT, January 18, 2011

Yesterday, we reported on Starbucks' latest cup size, the Trenta -- a 31-ouncer that's reportedly the equivalent of four cups of coffee, caffeine-wise. Well, that's not all: according to the National Post, which accompanies the news with a handy graphic, the Trenta's 916 millilter size is larger than the human stomach's "average" 900 milliliter capacity. As Good notes, that's "about a quarter of the volume it could take to rupture your stomach." So, uh, if you need your fix that badly, you might as well look into getting that caffeine IV.
What do you think, Brand Xers? Will you take your chances with the Trenta? Or will you stick to smaller sizes? (If you're heading elsewhere, we've already rounded up a few of L.A.'s coffee options.)

I personally think the whole Trenta thing is disgusting. I think things this big should be illegal, like Super Sizing. I know that companies can't be held responsible for this country getting more and more obese because "people decide what they want to eat," but if they didn't have options of portions this big, they won't be faced with the decision of less or more.

I cant believe this. I'm a huge fan of Starbucks, but the Trenta is way too much. Its like promoting that early death due to excessive caffeine intake is okay. Its okay to have a Trenta but not with Caffeine based drinks, try it with Juices instead--healthier.
