That's another thing, the description of the dad as "her longtime boyfriend" LOL, she's 16, just when did she start dating this "long-time" boyfriend, at 13? And he's three years older. What's the name of her mother's parenting book, What Not To Do? LOL

I hope that if you were the mother of a teenager with an uplanned preg. then you would show her love and not "boot" her out the door! Jeesh! At least she is not a drug addict hooked on Meth!! She made a mistake...at least she is taking on some responsibility and choosing to have the baby. >>

I have much higher standards than setting a baseline of "at least she's not a drug addict." I think people who grow up in the privilege that she has owe more to their family and society than "not being a drug addict." I would hope that my kids show far more respect for me and themselves than getting pregnant at 16. As for "she made a mistake," that's exactly what Michael Vick's supporters said. But drowning dogs is not a "mistake," the actions/thought behind it indicate a huge character deficiency. Just like getting pregnant at 16.

Re "knocked up," is that an outdated phrase? I thought a recent movie came out using that term?

haha jess look at the controversy you started lol.. but really though, i think her show should be canceled just because she is not a very good role model anymore.. maybe she was when she was cute and innocent and NOT pregnant, but responsible choice to have the baby or not, i wouldn't want my child watching her show and seeing, "well she's 16, pregnant and still successful... maybe it is ok." just as the psychologist said, i'm sure there's not going to be a hoard of girls jumping on the 16 and pregnant bandwagon, but it's just not the type of message that needs to be sent out to young girls nowadays.

all in all, she should've been a little more cautious.. hasn't she seen what a trainwreck her older sister has become? she had 2 kids wayy too quickly and now people are all over her for being a bad mother and she is completely tied down to that role now.. does jamie lynn think its going to be better for her? she's barely grown and now she's already in that same predicament. poor thing.. but hats off to her for taking responsibility.

I highly doubt I will be looking to Momma Spears for tips on how to properly raise my child.

I believe murder applies to humans. He is guilty of animal cruelty. My point was that his supporters called his actions "a mistake." I don't agree that they were a mistake any more than Spears' actions are a mistake.

No, it's not a crime. It does show a lack of values, just like Vick. Plus a huge lack of respect to family, society and in her case, fans.

We, including you, judge people every day. You clearly have judged Vick by calling him a murderer. He didn't kill anyone , he just drowned a few dogs. He's not perfect, show him some love.

In all fairness, I don't think Momma should be blamed for Britney's behavior. Britney is a grown adult and there is only so much you can blame parents for. I think Momma's book had great potential -she raised a pop star and was raising another rising star. That's impressive, and I bet many people would be interested in her story. Which is why I see this as more than just a "mistake." Jamie has made her mother a laughingstock, a butt of jokes, and derailed her own project (the book). This is the reward Momma gets for all she did to get Jamie where she is? Pretty sad.
