Re: Paying for your bags
I save about $100-$200 a week and then buy a bag when I save up enough and I do try to sell bags I don't use to fund other ones.

Re: Paying for your bags
I save and think over big ticket purchases... e.g. Do I really need that DvF dress? Will the pattern look dated next season? Is the bag classic enough and/or does it fit my personality enough that I would use it for a long time?
For some reason my bag purchases are wayyy more thought out then going into a store and snapping up a few pairs of jeans, which, at $200 a pop, can be careless tossing $$ around. Still... I live in denim.

Re: Paying for your bags
for me usually impluse buys on my CC. I use my CC to get miles then just pay it off at the end of the month. I am up to 35 or so bags.

Re: Paying for your bags
I plan my purchases and buy a bag of my choice once a year or every fall. I pay for it from my bank account. I wouldn't use a CC unless I planned on paying it off w/in 1-3 months.

Re: Paying for your bags
My husband pays for almost everything I buy, I work part time only and dont make too much money right now. But I have a great husband that pays for everything I want, the most expensive bag I own was about 600. I dont really spend that much on bags, I am saving for a Balenciaga City right now and I know he'd buy it for me but I feel bad, it will be my first big purchase.

Re: Paying for your bags
I work and do well for myself. DH takes care of most of the household finances and I pretty much save what I earn. I don't impulse buy much (not saying I have not). I do use my CC at times and pay it off each month.

Re: Paying for your bags
I'm an international student in college, so my parents just send me money whenever I run out. They do give me a budget though, so after I buy a bag, I save up to "keep in budget". See how that works?
It sucks how I can't earn my own money because international students can't work outside of school...

Re: Paying for your bags
I spend my husbands money. But in turn I cook, clean and take care of his offspring! So I think it all balances out :)

Re: Paying for your bags
My husband would die before he bought me a bag.
Hehe... but then he gets mad when I spend my own money of bags too, so I suppose it really don't matter either way.
See what I mean about boys being smelly!
