Marc Jacobs Alice Bag

In reference to the Marc Jacobs Collection, nylon isn’t the most popular material found coating his handbags. The majority of Marc Jacobs exclusive handbags tend to be made out of smooth and distressed leathers. Look what I recently discovered; it’s a totally different couture newbie. One of Marc Jacobs' latest design is the Alice bag, which happens to be a piece off his Pre-Fall 2008 collection.
Unlike most of Marc Jacobs leather pieces, this handbags body is made out of nylon, (with an exception to the leather handles, straps and linings). I strongly believe that nylon is a tricky material to apply on handbags and other accessories. It must be done “right” in order to grab attention. Whether it’s giving the handbag a bright fun hue, adding pleats or spicing up the bags silhouette, if the handbag fails to have some type of character, then it will succeed as just another simple boring nylon bag.
Two sets of handles allow versatility in carrying this bag. Do you Bagista’s remember the S/S 08’ Marc Jacobs “rana”? If so, the glittery-eyed frog is back, found right in the middle of the roomy Alice. Discover the Alice in simple black nylon (which has an extremely sharp look to it) or in the light hue of grey.

Re: Marc Jacobs Alice Bag
Finally! Marc Jacobs creates a big bag with style. My old Alice Bag had got a little gray.

Re: Marc Jacobs Alice Bag
Nothing spectacular.
They both look nice though, between the black and the grey I'd probably go with grey since it looks like it stands out more than the black one

I think these are nice looking bags but when it comes to Marc Jacobs, I love my leather! Whether its quilted leather like the Stam's or the soft calf classic pieces like the Venetia or Blake, I think Marc Jacobs shines the most in those pieces constructed of leather.

Re: Marc Jacobs Alice Bag
I'm not a fan of nylon bags...
only if it's under $20!!
You can put your boots in the oven,
