Default Marc by Marc Jacobs Lady L Satchel

With so many vibrant shades of blue to choose from this season, I think I've found the perfect blue hue that suits my taste. The new Totally Turnlock Lady L Satchel from MbMJ comes in a deep blue color called midnight. I'm really loving this darker blue because not only is it great for a summery nautical theme, but it can also be worn year round. I've seen a ton of electric blues and turquoise colors that are strictly for Spring and Summer. But the Lady L Satchel in midnight would be great for any season. And for a price tag of $448, I think that for those on a budget, like myself, this is a great investment alternative to blowing accessory allowances on a handbag that will only be worn for a few months out of the year.

Not only do I love the deep midnight blue colored leather, but I also like the minimal gold hardware details, including the turnlock closure on the front. I think the gold metal and darker blue leather really compliment each other. Another huge plus is that the straps are long enough to allow comfortable wear over the shoulder. And this bag would definitely be able to hold everything I need to carry since it measures 11 1/4"H x 15 3/4"W x 5 1/2"D. It is also available in earth and grass.

See the MbMJ Lady L Satchel at any one of these designer shops: Neiman Marcus, eLUXURY, Shopbob

^^^I'm thinking about getting this one...like instead of a $500 wallet at LV. Perhaps this one and a bag from LV. Have you tried anything from MbMJ? I'm wondering how the leather is, etc.

I haven't tried anything from them even though I am DYING for the Turlock Teri bag in poppy!! Zombiegirl (I think) said MbyMJ bag's leather is nice! That'd be cool, getting a bag instead of a wallet though.

yah! So this bag, is totally an investment accessory. And it's so cheap too, compared to other designer bags.

Unlike many other designers (dooney, etc) who just pump out styles and mark up the price tag, you really get what you pay for with marc by marc jacobs bags.

Alicia - Most of MBMJ bags have this vintage tumbled leather. It's soft and smooshy, but it has a bit of a texture to it. Plus I love the straps they have on their bags.

Alicia - Yep, that's the bag I want in poppy. I think the midnight is more year round than the bright blue. But, I think the color on the Captain bag is gorgeous and I love the style of it.

Alicia- Yes there are a few Marc by Marc stores on Bleeker St. in NYC. You should definately check them out while you are there. They have great "Special Items" in those stores.
To answer your question about the MbMJ leather...it is sooo soft and smooshy! They are great bags for the price!

I love this color! If you go onto the Shopbop site, the coloring is really dark. Or maybe it's just my screen...
