Thread: Marc Jacobs Trompe L'Oeil Cammie Pouchette

Marc Jacobs has designed some wonderful bags in the past and for this year. And I'd have to say that he is definitely one of my favorite designers. But when I came across this purse, I was a little disappointed. I suppose I could see this in his Marc by Marc Jacobs line but I just don't think it fits into the MJ collection. The fake pocekts and fake zipper stitching kind of remind me of that short-lived trend of trench coats with fake button and belt stiching that were popular a few years back. I'm just really not a fan of this embroidery concept. I personally think this bag looks like it was made for a child.

The Trompe L'Oeil Cammie Pouchette is made of shiny leather and is available in black. The shoulder strap is a combination of acrylic chain link and leather and has a strap drop length of 13". It has a fabric lined interior with a leather trim side zipped pocket. It's also roomy for a pouchette and measures 8" x 12". The price tag on this one is $975 which in my opinion is way over priced considering the design. Like I said before, this looks more like a Marc by Marc bag and should be priced within that range.
