Normally the silver mark you see inside means that it was from an employee sale and the mark is to prevent returns. They are sold rather cheap because of returns, overstocks, damaged bags, and things like that.

when i bought one of my marc jacobs bags from eluxury, the large gold chain was wrapped in plastic so i would say it's pretty normal. from what i can see it looks good to me. you can take it to saks or neiman or anywhere but they aren't experts. some of them know what they're talking about, but i think you would get just as much help here as you would anywhere. it might be easier to tell in person though.

Yes it came with a dust bag and in a box. The seller did say her friend was an employee and that how she got it cheap. I read somewhere that the chain should be really shiney, is this true for all stams? My chain isn't so shiny.

^^ My chain on my MJ Quilted MP is an antique brass. They are brass so they will tarnish a bit. You can clean the chain with toothpaste.

Hi everyone. There's this pink Stam I'm eyeing , and I believe it's legit. I've tried to find photos of the same one online, but I don't know the name of the color--it's not this year's Fluo Pink nor Rasberry--so I can't find it anywhere. I think it's from '06 or maybe '07. Do any of you know the name of this color? Does the bag look authentic to you? Need to know asap, if possible. Thanks!!!

Hi Zombiegirl. Thanks for replying. I don't have photos of those, although I might be able to get them. The seller, who received the bag as a gift and is only slightly familiar with the Stam (she's not into the pink), sent me extra photos (the interior of the bag, the inside zipper and the bottom, above) and has answered all the questions I had about the bag, including questions about the hardware--particularly whether or not Marc Jacobs is etched on the knob (on one or both? just etched or black?) zippers and clasps and if the logo is just etched and showing as a depression on the gold-metal or if it looks black. I forgot to ask for photos of the backside of the zipper, to check out the riri or lampo and the shape. Let me see what I can do about the zipper and the serial# (I see those faked so often that I didn't place that much importance on it.

PS: Seller offers to return the bag for full refund if I don't like it.
