Thread: Marc by Marc Jacobs Intergalocktic Bag

Now I'm not sure where Marc Jacobs was going with the name of this bag. There is a flap front with a turn lock closure, but Marc Jacobs is always using turn locks in his designs. Since the name had managed to catch my attention so well though, I thought it was worth giving the bag a good second look. The overall shape and style is nice, I like how it is sort of casual and puffy. The design, however, I am not so sure about. From a distance, it almost looks like some sort of woven plaid fabric. In reality though, this bag is made of textured PVC. The plaid pattern is simply printed on there. I would love to see this bag in a solid color. Marc Jacobs has a bit of a goofy side though when it comes to some of his designs. So if you are feeling a little bit goofy and carefree, then this might be just the bag for you. Keep reading ~

Uhg what is with the PVC? I would never buy a plastic bag. I just don't understand why it's not made of leather. His other Marc by Marc Jacobs bags that retail in this range are made of leather.

I do like the style of the Intergalocktic though but prefer one solid color. Zappos also has the Intergalocktic in the pimpley plastic Ozzie material too - here @ zappos

Ugh, don't like the first bag one bit! However the second one is pretty.

You know, I don't think I was totally off with my Beastie Boys comment. MBMJ has some other bags this season with Ozzie and Zeppelin in the name.
