    Default Has anyone ever used...

...Wilson's TLC Leather and Suede Protector on their vachetta?

What was the outcome? Did darken at all?

    Any feedback would be great!

I bought a bottle of this, but I am SOOO paranoid that it'll darken the vachetta on my pochettes.

Oh, and aside from a Mr. Clean Eraser or a white pencil eraser, are there any other ways to clean it? (Since I don't have neither of those right now. )

    TIA!

I heard alcohol-free baby wipes. I haven't used it myself cause I'm scared of wet types of cleaners on the vachetta. The magic eraser almost gave me a heart attack.

I used the baby wipes once, it was okay but the white eraser does the trick better

Daisy, if the vachetta is pretty dirty then I would wait until you get a Mr. Clean magic eraser and the Apple Care conditioner. I am not familiar with the Wilson's on LV vachetta it could darken it some I know the Coach conditioner does.
If you do use the Mr. Clean eraser be very careful not to scrub too hard, it doesn't take much pressure to work. Make sure to use the sponge wet and I would do a "test" area first. The Vachetta will be dry after cleaning so conditioning is a must!
As far as the Wilson's TLC you could also try it in a test area first as well, to see how it does.

*As with any product, be very, very careful as everyone's experience will be different.
Good luck! If you have any questions PM me.

my mom has used that on a jacket and a purse before and it did make them slightly darker so i dont think i would recomend using is on your louie....not worth the risk in my mind.

I used a Mr. Clean Eraser on one if my really bad looking straps and I just about cried!

But when I looked at it again this morning, it looked a lot better... I don't think I'm doing it right though.

You're probably right Britni, but I am just afraid of the Fall and Winter time when it starts to rain around here. So I just wanted to protect them from that.

I use it... it works great... it doesn't darken the vachetta, and it forms a barrier... to keep the vachetta clean, I also use some stuff called Leather CPR to clean the leather on my LV's ... no joke, it works amazingly! Here's the website: Leather CPR -- Home Page

Thanks Viva, I will try it!!

*Edit* I just read this on the site:
CAUTION: May darken some leathers and may cause some leathers to bleed. Always pre-test an inconspicuous area.
Have you ever had it darken your Vachetta Viva?

As long as it's the TLC for naked leathers (it should say that on the container in the back or something) it does darken it a bit for a couple of seconds, but then it dries up with no markings whatsoever... its really good... I've used it, and I recommended it to Alicia, and she said it worked for her, too.
