    i just had a successful erasing job with my mono handles (thanks arianne!!!)

    Handle that HAS NOT been erased yet...


    Handle that HAS been erased... (and coated with leather conditioner)

    cool! glad it worked! i guess we'll have to use what we can without Mr Clean Magic Eraser or whatever it's called.

    very true! I wanted to use it on my pochette as well, but the vachetta is still pretty light so I thought no need...LOL

    How's the Tana leather conditioner? Did it darken your vachetta? I have it but have not used it on the vachetta just on my other bags.

    Its good actually...I have been using it on my vachetta....It darkens when you put it but once it sits and dries it actually looks pretty nice...

    OMG

    You're amazing - I took magic eraser to an old strap today, and am completely freaking out about how it will turn out, as it's still damp right now - but tomorrow, I'm going to buy myself a standard eraser like yours and give that a go!

    If only I didn't love experimenting so much, things would probably be a lot easier, but it's so compulsive!

    Do you's have magic eraser in NZ? I haven't asked around here but maybe they do.....

    We do - but not all supermarkets sell it. It's with all the cleaning sponges. The only supermarket I knew that had it, has just come out with something else called 'Easy Erasing Pad' by Scoth Brite (part of 3M) - it's basically the same thing, but it has a blue foam pad on top so you don't wear the magic eraser down to your fingertips.

    Maybe have a look among the wipes/ sponges in your supermarket?

    Hey, no probs! You were the one who encouraged me to try it. And I thought I was going to get a new strap. But i'm not now!
